"Save the chain, save the world!" -project founder & devlord There have been events throughout time which have created huge waves of energy, a kind of spiritual pressure which can be catalysts for intense change. In 2009, one such event took place. Satoshi Nakamoto and a small team would unknowingly create a wave felt far & wide. They thought their experiments could change economies, but they ended up changing the universe. Some people are sensitive to such spiritual pressure, they would become physically imbued with abilities... The pressure wave was also felt deep in the ground, recently deceased would become touched with this energy... Deeper yet, monsters forgotten to time, terrible beings who make claim to all of Earth, tragically received this energy too... And much further away, inhabited planets are just now seeing the 'signal' of this pressure wave and are now at the doorstep. A culmination of new all time highs for Bitcoin, ETF approvals, and another halving cycle has supercharged what is now known as the 'Nakamoto Wave', awakening powers in all who are touched by this energy. Imbued humans awoke to new superpowers. The decaying dead walk again with an orange glow in their eyes. Cthulhu's minions are clawing their way to the surface claiming the human world as theirs... and some of the first aliens will be making landfall soon. The Humans :Most humans have realized no change at all in their ability. Some humans awoke to dramatic powers only recently. Others have been living for years with increased talent, naturally landing them in positions of power, or as famous scientists, actors, & music artists. The most recognized of our society don't have their positions by accident. Imbued with energy from the Nakamoto Wave, a huge boost in ability recently positioned them as Earth's protectors. Some humans have strong alignment with primitive beings, displaying control over tentacles and wings and other traits found in the animal kingdom. Humans have found that metals, especially gold, to act as a kind of superconductor of their powers when felt against the skin. It's common to find gold implants or filigree sewn into their clothing. Talismans and weaponry may also be made from gold as a way to focus their Nakamoto energy. |

The Undead :Some are recently deceased, while some have been stewing in their own juices a while. The bodies imbued during the Nakamoto Wave in 2009 have been laying awake in coffins until recent events provided the manna boost needed to climb from their graves.
